Image As Metaphor

Image As Metaphor

“Image as Metaphor” is a juried exhibit created by Don Werthmann and Katherine Willson, and hosted by the Riverside Arts Center Gallery.

This exhibit is open to all residents of the following southeastern Michigan counties:  Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne.

In this exhibit, artists are being called to create three (3) pieces of thematically-related artwork in any medium (2D or 3D).  The three artworks are to be submitted as independent parts of a whole series, instead of being constructed as one contiguous unit. In addition, the three works must be accompanied by a one paragraph artist statement that articulates the relationship among the three pieces, as well as the artist’s intent in creating the work.
