We know that not everyone is at the same skill level, so at Unveiled you have the option of being in a class designed for your ability.

Belly Dance

Level 1:  Class covers basic belly dance techniques, and an introduction to middle eastern rhythms, music, and dance history.  This class must be taken prior to any other classes, unless approved by the instructor.  A typical student will spend 1-3 sessions in the Beginner class.

Level 2:  Includes technique and choreography. Props can also be used.  While some students will spend 2-4 sessions at this level, 6-8 sessions is more typical.  Performance opportunities are available.

How do I know which class is right for me?

Pretty much, everyone should start with Level 1.  Even if you have experience at another studio, or with another dance style, it is usually helpful to join the Level 1 class first.  Different studios teach different techniques, and this will give you a chance to get used to things in a relaxed setting.

But I really think I should be in the Level 2 class.

If you feel strongly about this, go ahead and contact Mia and we can discuss it.
