Our annual fundraiser, Fall for Art “Music and Art are Food for the Soul”, is just around the corner! As we get ready for this very special event, we would like to highlight our honorees so you get to know them a little better before the event. Throughout the next two weeks we’ll be focusing the spotlight on community members that have made an invaluable contribution to our vibrant community. Today we honor theatre in residence, PTD Productions!

Fall for Art is October 13th at 7:00pm. The evening will feature food from some of your favorite local restaurants, music by the New Fantastic Four and the Brian Delaney Quartet, LIVE Auction with once in lifetime items! Make sure to get your tickets to Fall for Art, help us continue to bring community focused, inclusive and exciting art programs to the RAC!

Riverside Arts Center is so delighted to have PTD  Productions be our official Theatre Company in Residence. Since 1995, PTD has produced an enormous range of plays. Their portfolio includes everything from theatrical classics (Long Day’s Journey into Night) to world premieres (Soccer Moms & Reapers). PTD’s range has yet to see many boundaries; they stage comedies (The Norman Conquests), dramas (A Delicate Balance), mysteries (Mousetrap), farces (Farce of Nature), and genres yet to be categorized. Seasons have included large-cast shows (Auntie Mame) as well as those for just two actors (’night Mother). One is often caught leaving the theatre thinking, “is there anything PTD can’t do?!”

PTD is committed to nurturing the cultural growth of our community by providing live theater, and to encouraging everyone to participate as producers, directors, playwrights, actors, crew, stagehands, front-of-house staff, refreshment sellers, and in myriad additional roles. If you love theatre, these theatre lovers would love to work with you (so much love goes into their shows)!  PTD welcomes lifelong theater-lovers and newbies, seniors and students, men and women, townies and out-of-towners, fans and skeptics, and everyone in between. With this dynamic and ever evolving theatre company, there is a show for everyone. You are invited to experience the range of settings, characters, situations, quirks, worldviews, and emotions that are part of the human condition. PTD Productions is creating theatre that has deep roots and an ever expanding legacy; and we are so happy to share it with them. We are so honored to share space with you!
