Ypsilanti Youth Theatre presents Barbara Lennon’s “A Tale of Snow White,” which won the 2008 Shubert Fendrich Memorial Play Award. A twist on the Brothers Grimm tale, this version features a mom reading to her children about a world of forest animals, friendly dwarf villagers, a troupe of ladies-in-waiting with a penchant for limericks, the Huntsman’s squabbling conscience and even a nerdy governmental representative from the Department of Natural Resources trying to keep the forest dwellers from ruining the environment! Performed at Ypsilanti’s Riverside Arts Center (76 North Huron St., Ypsilanti) on Friday, June 22 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, June 23 at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM; and Sunday, June 24 at 1:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased only at the box office and are $10, with $6 for seniors and youth (ages 3 to 12). Check out us out at ypsiyouththeatre.org and www.facebook.com/ypsiyouththeatre/.
