Maria and Kelly

Maria Rodrigues and Kelly Hagen

Maria Rodriguez is the illustrator for Belly Button Love and Kelly Hagen is the author.

Maria resides in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan with her three children.  She holds a BBA in Marketing and Art and once owned/operated the Zeus Gallery in Chicago.  She currently owns a business called Creations of the Spirit.

Kelly lives with her family in Clarkston, Michigan and thoroughly enjoys the commission and privilege of motherhood.  Belly Button Love reinforces the organic and profound love that a mother has for her child.  A dialogue centered on the belly button, the special place we were one with our mother.  It’s a very rare and emotional journey for all ages.

“It’s the love and connection to my children that inspired my creations for this awesome mother and child children’s book,” says Maria.  And Kelly adds, “The belly button is our lifeline to living and love before we are born and it never goes away, nor does the love of a mother.”  You can learn more about this book on the Belly Button Love website.
