Keri Middaugh is the author of “My Detroit Garden.” It was illustrated by Loretta Bradfield. The storyline is about a little girl who misses her garden when she moves to the city of Detroit. We are given a look at the joys of urban gardening in this sweet story.
Keri lives with two children and her husband in Ann Arbor. She loves writing, gardening and helping people “go green.” She maintains a personal blog called My Kitchen, My Vice where she covers topics about everything from keeping chickens, owning rabbits to potato peel pie.
She also works with the South Arbor Charter Academy where teachers, students and staff are making the green journey. You can follow their efforts on the South Arbor Goes Green.
Cynthia Furlong Reynolds is the author of several children’s books for the little ones through young adults. Her book “Grammie’s Secret Cupboard” won the 2008 Mom’s Choice Award.
Cynthia also writes adult novels as well as non-fiction, and is presently working on a World War II book. As a journalist her byline has appeared in more than 50 newspapers and magazines.
Based on Cynthia’s work with students of all ages in classrooms, seminars and workshops, she wrote “Writing S’mores: A Guide to Teaching Everyone How to Write Everything.”
