Fresh from acclaimed performances in New York City, Undesirable Secrets comes to Riverside for one night only before its Off-Broadway premiere. Written and performed by Ypsilanti’s own Rodolfo Alvarado, this powerful one-man play is based on the true story of Anthony C. Acevedo—a Mexican American WWII medic and Holocaust survivor. The play explores silence, survival, and resilience as Anthony, ordered by the U.S. Army to remain silent, carried his trauma for more than 60 years before finally breaking his silence.
