Auditions for “I Got Rhythm” Youth Musical Revue – Horizon Rising Stars

Horizon Performing Arts is pleased to announce auditions for our youth musical revue “I Got Rhythm: A Musical Revue Featuring the Best & Brightest of Broadway!” This production is open to youth ages 6 – 18 years old.

Auditionees should prepare a 1 minute cut of a Broadway/musical theatre song. Please bring a backing track for your audition. We will have a Bluetooth speaker at auditions to play the backing track.

This revue will consist of a variety of songs from various Broadway musicals. Performers will work with the production team to choose songs and come up with the flow of the revue. Everyone will be in group, ensemble, and solo numbers and each experience will be tailored to the individual performer’s strengths. This is a great opportunity for performers of all ages and experience levels!

About Horizon Rising Stars:

Horizon Rising Stars (HRS) was founded in January 2024 as an inclusive and welcoming space for youth performers. In April 2024, our inaugural production of James and the Giant Peach Jr. graced the stage at Riverside Arts Center and welcomed over 35 performers to our program. HRS will provide programming for individuals 18 and younger who want to engage in the performing arts and find ways to develop their theatre skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Following our mission statement, we will provide a space that is inclusive, inventive, and encouraging for those who may be new to theatre, as well as those who are experienced. We will open our doors specifically to those in this age group who are looking for additional performance opportunities outside of their school groups and provide an introductory experience to the adult and community theatre world.
