Beau Monde is known for sticking to its formula of anthology while taking you through the history of black movement in new, creative and enchanting ways.
With the loss of so many black female icons in the recent past, post Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and Sandra Bland, choreographer Gina Danene Thompson, takes you through black movement from the perspective of the black woman. This year’s Beau Monde reveals black movement through the female body, music, grief, triumph and glory.
This year’s Beau Monde: An Anthology of Black Movement in America illustrates how black movement infuses itself into every day society and culture.
