Public Art Critique at Riverside Arts Center
Most artists work on their own and have only friends and family to comment on their work. But whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist, it’s very helpful to have other artists give input. Whether it’s on technique, materials, composition, use of line or color, expression and more, other artists can often help you clarify what you’re trying to achieve – and suggest ways to create your own work that speaks what you want to say.
We invite artists to bring a completed work and/or a work in progress, in any medium whether 2D or 3D, and we’ll have a conversation exploring the work to help the artist learn, get some good ideas and feel confident to take their creativity forward. Sophie Grillet and Erin Abramovitz will facilitate and guide where needed. We look for insights and support for making progress in a friendly environment where we can laugh and learn together.
