Date: Sunday, August 25th, 9 AM – 4 PM
Cost: $150 (WCA members $135) includes lunch and materials
Sponsored by: JWAN Caucus of the National Women’s Caucus for Art
Spend the day opening yourself to the creative process through text discussion, art making and writing. This one day workshop with Pat B Allen, celebrated artist, author and pioneering art therapist, invites us to take a deep dive into the creative process. Lingering in the exploration and handling of materials, we will experience the pleasure and the challenge as the image unfolds, before we even know the outcome.
We are all creative. The creative process is really the birthright of all of us. Each of us longs to express ourselves, in our unique ways. Sometimes we may encounter obstacles.
We invite the idea that within the Process is where our deepest longing can be explored, where the necessary vulnerability of authentic creativity can be held and safely experienced.
Please join us to explore your creativity in this one day workshop. Come away with a connection to your creative source and an appreciation of the way your Process can inform your practice, as an artist or in your work in the world.
August 25, 2024. 9:00am – 4:00pm
Top Floor at Riverside Arts Center
