About the show

We meet a point of resistance.  Internal, external- another’s set boundary, an arbitrary policy, an odious social or political reality, a life challenge.  It is seemingly impassable.  Artists often face obstacles to creativity or “success.”  How do they lean in?  Do they push against, away, through?  Artists are often speaking truth to power.  The art itself is resistance to excessive use of force, brutalities, or non-consent.  How then do they maintain the self while tackling or upending power.  As Earnest Hello says, “Art… is a force that blows the roof off the cave where we crouch imprisoned.”
