Meet your Instructor – Dylan Kite

Dylan Kite is a self-taught artist whose work flows effortlessly across mediums—from illustration and collage to cyanotype—but it’s relief printing that captures his aesthetic. His creative curiosity doesn’t stop at the studio door. For over a decade, Dylan has taught art and technology to hundreds of learners across Washtenaw County, bringing the same spirit of exploration to his classrooms.

He believes everyone carries a creative spark—often buried, never lost—and his teaching invites people to reconnect with that spark by making something from nothing. Whether he’s inking linoleum, guiding a workshop, dancing until last call, or coaxing new leaves from his ever-growing jungle of houseplants, Dylan brings intention, play, and presence to everything he does.
