We, at R.A.C.E. Dialogue, invite you to register for an upcoming Winter dialogue series that suits you, and to share this invitation with others who might have interest.
To meet the different needs and experiences of participants, we now offer three types of dialogue series throughout the year: Interracial Dialogue, Dialogue for People of Color, and Dialogue for White People.
All three provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment for participants to listen and share their lived experiences with race and racism. We achieve our goal of making sustainable change with racial dynamics and racial hierarchy by raising individual self-awareness and individual understanding of the impact that race has had and continues to have on each of us.
The two scheduled for this Winter are Dialogue for People of Color and Continuing Interracial Dialogue.
Thursday Series: Dialogue for People of Color is for those who identify as, and value support from, other people of color. It focuses on deepening understanding of how racism impacts people of color in the sustaining company of fellow participants of color. The series begins Thursday, January 17, 2019 and ends Thursday, March 7, 2019. We will meet every Thursday between these dates from 7PM-8:30PM. Location: Riverside Arts Center, 76 N. Huron St. Ypsilanti, MI.
Wednesday Series: This 8-week series will follow the same guides as before and build on the participants’ familiarity with the guides and with the nature of dialogue. As before, we expect people of different racial identities choosing to come together to listen and to share our life experiences with race. It will be a safe, respectful and non-judgmental environment. Our goals in dialogue are to raise self-awareness and understanding of the impact of race. The series begins on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. We will meet every Wednesday between these dates from 7PM-8:30PM. Location: Zingerman’s Service Network, 3756 Plaza Dr., Ann Arbor MI.

Please be sure to fill in all fields on the Registration Form. Registration closes on Thursday, January 17, 2019 for the People of Color dialogue and Wednesday, January 23, 2019 for the Continuing Interracial Dialogue. Each group is limited to 25 participants, so there will be a waiting list if either group becomes full. You will be notified if you are put onto the waiting list.
