Meet May 6th Ypsi Fine Arts Club Guest Speaker: Angela Kline

Ever wonder what your art is actually worth?

Join us on May 6th’s YFAC for a talk on valuing your art with Angela Kline, Executive Director of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original, award-winning artist, filmmaker, and brand strategist.

The question of how to value and price your work has been one of the most common topics brought up by our club members and we are thrilled to have Angela speak to YFAC members about this important conversation.

An award-winning filmmaker, artist, skilled marketer, and brand strategist, Kline has developed and executed multi-channel communication strategies that have built collaborative relationships between artists, celebrities, major corporations, and cultural institutions. Her client and partner experience includes Oprah Winfrey, General Motors, Stellantis-Jeep, The White House, and Pure Michigan. With degrees in painting, drawing, and art history, Angela brings a rare artist-friendly perspective to arts administration – one shaped by decades of hands-on experience leading and growing creative organizations.

Prior to joining the art fair, Kline served as CMO of Wallace Detroit beginning in 2015. Before that, she spent nearly a decade as CEO of the Chris Roberts-Antieau Studio and Gallery. In that role, she grew the artist’s presence to over 200 galleries nationwide and coordinated all logistics to establish her New Orleans gallery. Kline produced both the artist’s Oprah-featured coffee table book and her documentary featured by Tom Waits. She also coordinated exhibitions for the American Visionary Art Museum and oversaw 20 annual traveling national art fairs ranging from Art Basel to AASAF, The Original.

Kline previously served on the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair’s Executive Board before stepping into the director role, and has described the fair as “a jewel in Ann Arbor’s crown.” Under her leadership, the fair has introduced new artist-driven programs, expanded community partnerships, and completed a full rebrand in 2025 – including a new logo and website – while continuing its mission as the oldest continuously running juried art fair in the country.

Regardless of whether you’re new to art commerce or an old pro, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss!

Ypsi Fine Arts Club is a perfect place for artists, art lovers, collectors, and more to share in the creativity of Ypsilanti. Artists of all experience levels are encouraged (but not required) to bring 2 pieces of art, and will have 2 minutes to talk about their work.
