About your instructor: Gabbi Dolin

Teacher, Gabbi Dolin, is a self-taught artist and big sister who grew up in Fowlerville, MI. Painting has been a special interest of hers since she was about 12 years old, and she enjoyed elective art classes throughout grade school and college. Gabbi graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s in psychology in 2022 and is now a year and a half into a master’s program at Wayne State University for both Counseling and Art Therapy. She is the assistant director and an instructor at D&M Art Studio as well as program coordinator for the Partnership, where she gets to use her passion for art and working with kids to help run the ACE program. She has also had a lot of fun getting to paint the windows for the Factory. In her personal art, she loves using references from art and design history, especially art nouveau styles. She frequently includes animals and floral elements in her work. And has recently received an honorable mention for her piece “Nouveau Ballet” in the Three Cities Art Club’s Juried Exhibition at Westland City Hall.
